- Hacking Picasa3 2 min read - Mar 13, 2012 - by Phlash The Need I have a whole pile of photos of family and friends that I have indexed with Picasa v3.8 and it's face recognition ability, using the Windows version of Picasa3 (because it was the 'right' way to do this a couple of years ago). In the middle of some facebook'ery using my preferred OS (Ubuntu 10.10 ATM) I decided I wanted a photo of a friend to post, so grabbed the Picasa installer and ran it up in wine.
